Maison Jeroboam takes its name from the bottle with a capacity of 5 liters.
Located in the village of SAINT-ESTEPHE, on the edge of the Gironde estuary and in the heart of the most prestigious vineyards of the appellation, Maison Jeroboam dates from the end of the 18th century. Maison Jéroboam is next to Château Phélan Ségur and plots of vines from Château Calon Ségur border the garden, on the estuary side. The mansion has been a place of residence since 1790 and the outbuildings which extended it formerly served as a dining room for the winegrowers and storage space for equipment. The barn, converted into a breakfast room, once housed a horse with, on the site of the Château Phélan Ségur room, the old hayloft.
The swimming pool was built in an old pyre whose surrounding walls have been partly demolished and which constitute a real cocoon around the salt water basin.
